Change can be scary, but I encourage you to focus on the excitement of changing your life and doing the work to become THE BEST version of you! 

 

Step 1: Make it a Decision

No more wishing, hoping or wanting. You are doing this thing. No matter how long it takes, or how hard it is...

Drop the timeline and DECIDE that this is happening. 

Not with perfection. With continuing effort and progress. YOU WILL GET THERE!

 

Step 2: Create Your Powerful WHY

Definitely spend some time on this step! Get quiet and think about what IS IT that will get you off the couch to do your exercise, or to stay disciplined with your diet today. 

Go beyond 'my future health' and 'more energy'. Keep asking yourself a deeper 'why' until you really get to what it is you most from these changes you are working on! 

 

Step 3: Make Yourself Accountable

This step might sound simple, but it is powerful. We tend to keep many of our goals or 'attempts' with weight loss all to ourselves...

Why do we do this? 

Because we have lost all trust in ourselves! We don't believe that we can stay consistent with these goals, so it gives us an easy out. 

No more. You can do this. You have made a decision, and you know WHY you have decided to do this work!

Start trusting it.

 

Step 4: Figure Out Your Triggers

This is where you need to spend THE MOST TIME doing this work. It is critical to figure out what is it that keeps you from losing OR MAINTAINING weight loss? 

If you don't get clear on this piece you will continue to wind up right back where you started...and likely worse. 

It is about changing YOU and it starts by no longer repeating the patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck. 

 

Step 5: Create Your Non-Negotiable Goal

This is the step that helped me to lose 80 pounds in the first year of my weight loss journey!

This step isn't about setting goals that will get you there fast. This is about building back the confidence in yourself to keep showing up.

Setting a daily, non-negotiable goal is the single most important thing that you can do to build back the trust you have broken in yourself to do hard things! To stay consistent and do what you said you are going to do.
